Christmas gifts for employees: ideas, budget and timing — a guide

Czarna ramka z figurkami całej grupy i podpisami na tle

The end of the year at a company means summaries, the office Christmas party and a question that HR or the boss faces every year: what should we give employees for Christmas? A hamper of sweets, a mug with the logo and a shopping voucher are safe, but quickly forgotten. We have gathered ready-made formats on the page Christmas gifts for employees, and in this guide we cover everything worth settling before you order — from budget and logistics, through gift ideas, to a timeline that gets you ready before the holidays without a stressful December.

Three decisions to start with

  • How many people you are giving to. Planning a gift for a team of five is different from planning one for several dozen people across departments. Headcount affects the budget, the preparation time and who will coordinate the order.
  • A gift for everyone or one for the team. You can give each person something personal or one shared gift that stays in the office — or combine both approaches.
  • When and where you hand them out. At the Christmas party, at the last meeting before the holiday break or at people’s desks — this decides the date the gifts must be ready by and the delivery address.

Budget and logistics without surprises

With corporate gifts, most of the time goes not on choosing, but on approvals: the budget, your manager’s sign-off, the purchasing department. That is why it pays to have a quote as early as possible. On the corporate gifts page there is a wholesale builder: in 3 minutes you calculate the price, see a 3D preview and download a PDF quote — no calls, no briefs. The quote is saved as a link, so you can send it straight to whoever approves the budget.

A few rules that make logistics easier:

  • One person coordinates. They collect the photos, answer questions about the designs and approve them on behalf of the company — so nothing gets lost in emails.
  • Company prices apply from 20 pieces, but there is no minimum order — a small team can order figures too.
  • Payment after approval. First you see the design of every figure, and payment is possible once all the designs are approved.
  • One delivery address. We send the finished gifts to the address you choose, e.g. the office — assembled and in gift packaging, ready to hand out.

Christmas gift ideas for employees

A figure of every employee from a photo

The most personal format: everyone gets a small copy of themselves — with their own hairstyle, hair colour, glasses and outfit, and a work attribute in hand: a laptop, a coffee mug, a microphone or a book. No two figures are the same, so everyone recognises theirs at once, and together they make a kind of group photo. See what the whole team as figures looks like.

The whole department in one frame

When the gift should show the team rather than one person, a large frame works well: everyone in one composition, with the logo, department name and year in the background. A 40×50 cm frame holds up to 50 figures, and for bigger teams we make custom-size frames up to 1 metre. A frame with the whole team will then hang in the office, at reception or in the meeting room.

A keychain with a figure

A smaller gift in larger numbers: the same figure from a photo, just with a carabiner — it travels on keys and backpacks. When you need many identical gifts, the alternative is a printed brick: the company name, a slogan or a first name. Find out more on the page about keychains with figures for companies.

Ready-made designs by profession

If you don’t know where to start, take a look at the ready-made figure designs: a programmer, an accountant, an engineer, a doctor, a chef, a mechanic, a boss and many more — and for Christmas, a figure in winter clothes too. You can order a design as it is or adapt it to a specific person — hairstyle, hair colour, clothes and accessory, with the face recreated from a photo. It is a good starting point when the team has many people in similar roles: you choose the design once and then change only the details.

A stand with a Christmas message

The figure can stand on a stand with a message: “Merry Christmas”, the year, a name or a short team motto. It is a simple way to make the gift instantly linked to these particular holidays and to your company. One shared message for everyone plus each person’s name works well: the figures look different, the team motto ties them together — and when handing them out to a large group, it is clear at once whose is whose.

A farewell at the end of the year

The end of the year is often also when someone leaves the company or retires. Instead of a card with signatures — a figure in a frame with wishes from the whole team in the background. You will find ideas on the page about a farewell gift for an employee.

How to make the gift personal and the company visible

A good corporate gift has two jobs: to delight a specific person and to show who it is from. With figures it is easy to do both:

  • The person — hairstyle, glasses, beard, an outfit in the colours they wear to work, and a detail in hand that “tells” something about their job or passion.
  • The company — the logo on the frame background, on the stand or on the packaging, company colours in the figures’ clothes, a department name or motto on the stand. We don’t put logos or trademarks on the figures themselves.
  • The holidays — the festive mood comes from winter clothes, the message on the stand and the packaging. We don’t print religious symbols on the figures.

When to order to be ready before Christmas

December is our busiest month, and with several dozen figures most of the time goes not on production, but on collecting photos and approving designs. That is why it is best to plan the timeline backwards:

  • November — photos and budget. Collect photos while the budget is being agreed. You can show the quote from the wholesale builder to your manager the same day.
  • Order and designs. Once we receive the photos, we show you the design of every figure. We give the lead time together with the order confirmation — it depends on the number of figures.
  • Approval and payment. The sooner you approve all the designs, the sooner production starts. Payment is possible once all the designs are approved.
  • December — delivery and handing out. The gifts arrive at the address you chose, assembled and packed — all that is left is to hand them out at the Christmas party.

If you are giving to just a few people, you can order figures in the shop like any customer: after the design is approved we usually ship the next working day, and delivery within Poland takes 1–3 working days. Still, the safest option is to order by mid-December, as fulfilment may take longer before the holidays. There is also a paid “Express shipping” option in the cart.

How ordering from Kloniko works

  1. You send photos. Photos of the people and a short description: how many figures, which format and by when. One photo of each person’s face is enough — even from a phone or a company event.
  2. We design. We show you every figure as a design preview before production. Revisions are free and unlimited.
  3. You pay after approval. Payment is possible once all the figure designs are approved.
  4. We produce and ship. The figures arrive assembled, in gift packaging, at the address you chose.

We build the figures from genuine LEGO® elements and add our own UV printing: face, clothes, lettering. A figure is about 4 cm tall, so it fits on any desk — next to the monitor, the mug and the calendar.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum number of gifts for employees?

From one figure — there is no minimum order. Company prices apply from 20 pieces.

When do we pay for the order?

Payment is possible once all the figure designs are approved — first you see every figure, then you pay.

Can the gift feature the company logo?

Yes, but not on the figure itself: the logo can go on the frame background, on the stand or on the packaging.

We don’t have good photos of everyone. What then?

A photo from a company event or a professional profile is usually enough. We look at the hairstyle, hair colour and style, and show every design before production.

How do we prepare the gifts without the team knowing?

Photos can be collected quietly — from professional profiles, company events or through HR. Only the person placing the order sees the designs, and we send the finished gifts to the address you choose, e.g. the office.
