A gift for grandma — a frame with her grandchildren and a figure from your photo

When everyone chips in for the gift, a frame is a good choice: grandma surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with the parents standing next to the youngest ones. On the background we print everyone's names or a photo of the house where the whole family comes together for the summer holidays. Her cat or dog can stand alongside: the pet figure is hand-painted in the pet's colours. For tips on planning a larger composition, see the family frame with figures page.

A single figure tells the story of grandma herself. The one who hasn't left the garden since spring gets a flower in her hand. The one who reads the grandchildren their bedtime story — a book. The champion of yeast bakes gets a croissant, and the hostess whose tea is always ready — a teapot or a mug. For a walk, a handbag and an umbrella fit nicely. You can also start with a ready-made look — the gardener, the book lover or the pastry chef — and change its hairstyle, face and clothes.

Grandma's milestone birthday usually means a reunion of the whole family, so the gift tends to be a joint one too. On the frame background we then print her age, the date of the party and a message, and flowers can be placed next to the figures. In a big family each branch can send its photos separately — we'll bring them together in one design. You can read more about milestone birthdays on the milestone birthday gift page.

For a name day or a Sunday visit, something small is enough. You can order the figure of grandma as a keychain: it then comes with a carabiner clip and can be attached to the keys to her allotment or to her handbag. You choose the keychain version on the set with a figure page.

Under the Christmas tree, a frame with the grandchildren is a convenient gift from everyone at once: nobody has to hunt for a separate present, and grandma has the whole family in one place. We write about Christmas ideas on the gift for St Nicholas Day and Christmas page. For Grandmother's Day — in Poland it falls on 21 January — we have a separate page with ideas for both grandparents: a gift for Grandparents' Day.

For the stand, pick one short line: “Gold-medal Grandma”, “There's always cake at Grandma Rose's” or her own catchphrase — the one every grandchild hears the moment they step through the door. Move all the grandchildren's names and the longer wishes to the frame background: it has room for both “Grandma Sophie and her gang” and the whole list of names.

We send the design preview for approval, and once you say “yes”, we usually ship the order the next business day. Delivery takes 1–3 business days within Poland and 2–6 business days to the EU (other countries: cost confirmed before dispatch), and if the date is close, there's a paid “Express shipping” option in the cart.
