minifigs.me is one of the best-known shops for personalised minifigures in Europe. Many people in Poland and across the EU come across it while looking for a figure from a photo as a gift — and wonder whether to order from the UK or look for something closer to home. Below, we give an honest comparison of minifigs.me and Kloniko: what it does well, how we differ, and when each choice makes more sense.
This article was written by the Kloniko team — we are one of the workshops being compared, so we say so up front. Information about other companies comes from their own websites (as of 3 October 2026), and we link to each one. We deliberately leave out prices — they change often and are best checked at the source. If something has changed, write to us and we will correct the text.
What minifigs.me offers
- Genuine LEGO parts with their own printing. The shop prints directly onto LEGO parts, and according to its FAQ the ink does not fade for over 10 years.
- A face based on a photo. The ‘Bespoke Head’ is drawn from a photo or description that you send by email. Limitations: a maximum of 3 such heads per order, and no printing that wraps around the sides of the head.
- A huge catalogue of ready-made figures and parts, plus a figure configurator.
- Fast production: 2–5 working days in the workshop before dispatch.
- Lots of reviews: 4.7 on Trustpilot from over 5,000 reviews.
What to bear in mind when ordering from Poland or elsewhere in the EU
- Shipping from the UK. Standard delivery takes 5–15 working days, DHL express 1–3 days. For orders up to €150 you pay VAT straight away on the website; above that amount, the shop warns of customs duty on delivery.
- A frame and keyring without a figure. The ‘Create Your Own Frame’ (11.5×11.5 cm) holds up to two figures and is sold without them — the website says: ‘Minifigures not included’. The same goes for the keyring. You put the figure together separately, from parts.
- Design before printing. We found no information on the product pages or in the FAQ about a design for approval before the face is printed.
- Language. The website and customer contact are in English.
- Company logos. minifigs.me does not print logos on parts — a rule we follow too.
